FASHION FRIDAY: ZAMA MSOMI

Happy Friday

Hi guys I hope you are all doing well if not hang in there. Fashion Friday star is Zama Msomi ,my homey and a student who is based in Cape Town . I am very excited about this feature because I like how she mixes things particularly vintage which is my favorite and comes up with something worth looking at. Vintage pieces tend to give any ensemble the "edge" which is what I love, not many people can pull off the "vintage look" and still manage to look stylish and fresh. She describes her personal style as a mixed race, not based on one concept. She basically wears anything whether it's branded, factory or vintage. Zama doe not oblige to the norm, her style is what you would call "freestyle" where anything goes. She says her style is effortless because she lives her style everyday whether she is going to campus, town, travelling, chilling at home or going out with friends. Zama  says her style portrays her personality, who she is, where she comes from, where she's been, her experiences, her future and a very zealous young lady.

I love this picture

White Boyfriend Jeans, Doek: from her grandma, Belt from her grandfather

Skirt: from her Mother's Closet

Love this picture so much attitude

White Denim Dungaree with Florals is what she's had since age 5

I love Zama's Style! Most of all I love how sentimental some of her clothes are and yet she still manages to look gorgeous with her vintage pieces.

Thank you to Zama for contributing:-). Leave your comments below.

Have great weekend guys.

STYLE INSPIRATION PART 1: SOLANGE KNOWLES

Happy Monday

Hi guys I hope you're all well. I have been meaning to do this post for a while now, today I bring you Miss Knowles  I admire this woman's sense of style so much. She is the queen of  clashing  prints and pulls it off very well, but besides that I love how effortless and comfortable her style is. She seems very comfortable in who she is as a person and that translates through her style and that is what I admire. She is gracing the yellow cover of Elle SA November issue looking gorgeous as always, wearing shorts by Loin Cloth and Ashes and a top by Tart once again on that print clash tip. Solange has the ability to make everything she wears look cool whether  she's is looking glam, sporty or in casual wear and that to me is a person with style.

I would die for this dress!!!!

It seems like yellow is her favorite colour

NAIL IT

Hello

It is the season for all things bright and that includes nails ladies. I am sure you have seen people rocking bright colored with all sort of designs and wondered how they do it. It is very easy if you have a good nail technician or you could do DIY's  like I use to do when I was in the state. I use to enjoy it so much at some stage I had two cosmetic bags filled with nail polishes only!! that how out of hand my hobby got. YouTube was my teacher there are great tutorials on how to take care of your nails , the designs and the best nail polishes to use. There are all sorts of designs now that one can experiment with, there's even stiletto nails which are oval shaped which I love, love, love next time I get a manicure I am definitely doing the stilettos.

Before applying nail polish we all know that you need a base coat and my favorite one is the Orly Bonder Rubberized Base Coat which I use to use in the States. I have not seen it in S.A but I am sure it is around somewhere you just need to look in different nail bars. This thing is magical!  because it's rubberized  and therefore grips your nail polish much better which will make it last much longer and it dries quicker too. The Sally Hansen Duo Coat is also good and this works as a base and top coat so you get your value for money. It is available at Clicks and you can get it for just under R100

I know it looks orange but it's actually clear on your nails, so it won't  change the color of your nail polish.

Neon Nails so Hot

These were my nails sometime last year

these were mine as well decided to get the cracking nail polish and applied it on top of my mani

Riri with Nude Stiletto Nails! I love
